Une plage de sable blanc et chaud de 3 km de long, avec une mer bleu turquoise qui rappelle la mer des paysages tropicaux: c’est San Vito lo Capo, l’une des plus célèbres destinations touristiques de la province de Trapani et de toute la Sicile. Sa magnifique plage a été élue « la plus belle plage en Italie” en 2011 et ses couleurs sont parfaites pour se détendre, pour la natation ou pour faire de la plongée sous-marine.
Le petit village de pêcheurs a grandi autour de l’église principale, se promener dans ses ruelles c’est découvrir des petits coins pittoresques, des balcons fleuris, des bancs en fer forgé et de belles cours intérieures. Au bout de la rue principale la grande bleue qui serpente à travers un vieux phare et le mont Monaco.
De là, vous pourrez visiter l’un des plus beaux endroits de la Sicile: la réserve naturelle de Zingaro, avec des paysages à couper le souffle, des falaises et des petites criques et une grande variété de flore et de faune méditerranéennes.
San Vito lo Capo, lieu animé et attachant, est la ville du Cous Cous Fest: héritage de la domination arabe, le couscous de poisson est un plat que vous trouverez dans chaque restaurant et le festival célèbre sa renommée et sa bonté grâce à un grand nombre de chefs du monde entier qui chaque année font apprécier à tous les visiteurs les innombrables interprétations de ce plat simple dans ses garnitures de base, mais savoureux pour tous ses condiments.
N’oubliez pas de goûter le « pani cunzatu », pain de farine de blé dur avec anchois, huile d’olive, lfromage local et tomate, mais aussi le pesto Trapanese à base de basilic, tomate, ail et amandes: un délice!
